The Lowcountry supports a genuinely impressive number of weekly markets once you include the islands, Mount Pleasant, and the outlying towns. Saturday: Marion Square, the One Everyone Knows
The Charleston Farmers Market at Marion Square is the flagship, running Saturdays from 8am to 2pm, April 4 through November 21, 2026, at 329 Meeting Street in the heart of downtown. Expect more than 100 local vendors, produce, prepared foods, artisans, and live music, with the market closed only on July 4th and the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It is family and pet friendly, and it is the single best way to spend a Saturday morning downtown.

- Johns Island Farmers Market runs year-round, Saturdays from 10am to 2pm at 2024 Academy Road, and is built around education on sustainable, locally sourced food.
- Summerville Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, April 6 through November 23, behind Summerville Town Hall.
Tuesday: Mount Pleasant Farmers Market
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market runs Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 7pm at the Farmers Market Pavilion behind Moultrie Middle School, 645 Coleman Boulevard, from April through September. This one leans into a festival-like evening atmosphere, with live music and kids’ activities alongside produce, meats, seafood, and flowers. Since the season runs through September, this is one of the last months to catch it before it wraps for the year.
Wednesday: West Ashley Farmers Market
One of the newer additions to the rotation, the West Ashley Farmers Market runs Wednesdays from 3pm to 7pm at Ackerman Park, 55 Sycamore Avenue, from late April through early October. It is smaller and more neighborhood-focused than the Marion Square market, which makes it a nice option if you want fresh produce without the Saturday crowds.
Thursday: North Charleston and Exchange Park
The North Charleston Farmers Market runs Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm, seasonally from May through October, at Exchange Park in North Charleston. It is a solid after-work option if your week does not leave room for a weekend market run.
Monday: Folly Beach Farmers Market
If you want a farmers market with your feet basically in the sand, the Folly Beach Farmers Market runs Mondays from 4pm to 8pm at Folly River Park on Center Street, with live music and kids’ activities built into the evening.
